Arise O Compatriot by Boley Quine

Arise 'o' compatriots!
The Labour of our heroes past is getting close to vain
Our river of milk and honey now springs blood, What is now be our gain?
We indeed got our independence as a nation
October 1st 1960 was the most wonderful occasion
Smiles were planted on every one's lips
And together we rejoiced, sang our anthem with one lip
Afterwards we faced ourselves  Sentimentally dividing ourselves
Gave room for corruption and greed
Painting our nation with grief
Killed and maimed each other in the name of religion
Forgetting we are digging ourselves a big dungeon
We decided to go against each other
Never supporting one another
Forgetting if the Labour of our heroes past comes to vain
What then will be our gain?
#BOLEY_QUINE #BOLA'SPEN
In the honor of those unjustly killed in the plateau massacre.
May our land be healed.
