Reading "INTERVENTION" a piece by Wole Soyinka, I'm quite intrigued by the squirrel bearded man's lines while defending the Pyrate Confraternity..he wrote "....Really,if the thought that gave birth to the Pyrates Confraternity in the first place was a paving stone that leads to hell, then we must all meet in hell,  for those who are now enjoying the freedoms that came from secret operations of which some Pyrates were a part must be prepared to roast in hell with the rest of us"
The old man is indeed gutted here that what started out with pure and innocent intentions (according to him)  aimed at redeeming our society had gone rogue.. 

What strikes me most was the way he used religion or "let me put what religion has been reduced to" to lay more emphasis on it
he wrote ,"....The first evangelical movement in this country, said to be in the late nineteenth century, the great grandfather of all Pentecostal churches that spawned these EVIL OFFSHOOT- whenever that decay began - was it's intention yet another good intention that paves way to hell? "
He did came out quite strong here I must say... Thank goodness we do have ardent students of history here with us, so many institutions brought into existence centuries ago for the sole aim of societal redemption has indeed gone comatose, innocent inventions turned weapons of mass destruction, leaving me to wonder at the internal workings of a man in his natural habitat. What's that element in a man's natural configuration that makes him see ruins admist beauty, what's that ill-configuration in his system that choses the path to destruction using his fellow man innocence.
Biblically, after the event of creation, God was recorded to have said...Everything he created was good, Man inclusive, then I must begin to seek explanations and answera to fill these gaps in outer space region.. What's it that makes "unman" a man.
