WE ARE BORN DIVIDED

The oceans are not only the marks of separation
The colour of our skins tells it all
Blacks, Whites and Coloureds
Will seek a common ground
Only on the platform of unreconcilable histories

We are born into this world divided
And we will leave it so

Black brothers unified by one ancestral origin
Are brutal enemies because of religion

Members of one sacred congregation
Are rivals for their political allegiance

Passion blunts the ties of blood
We are not and never can be one
No twins are born the same
