Another Moon [Happy Birthday to me]

Isu parada oda iyan

Agbado parada oda eko

My Chick has come of age

For it stands aloft, crowing on Baami agba's door

Right before the very eyes of Alakowe

My numbers changed from seconds to minutes 

The minutes whispers into hours within a twinkle 

Days came crawling in, till they bellowed into years

Right before the very eyes of Ologbo

My chick grew, as maami nurtured 

Awodi Oke could do nothing but stare

For their thousand termites could do my 

Stone no harm

Today I must dance

Under the ancient ageless African sun

For the son of the magics muse

The holder of the sacred puns sees another moon
